Mexican Ambassador visits UCB

Vice-Chancellor for External Affairs Atty. Baldomero C. Estenzo was on hand to welcome the Mexican Ambassador who introduced her country by speaking about Mexico’s scenic spots, famus products and people. She also mentioned the similarities of her country with the Philippines in terms of being both colonies of Spain, the Galleon Trade connecting the two countries in colonial times; the natural disasters, the many ethnic groups within both nations as evidenced by the various dialects and languages, as well as the migrations from both Mexico and the Philippines towards America.

The visiting Diplomat thoroughly charmed her student audience via a slide presentation of the various vacation getaways of her country.

The event proved to be very informative on the part of the UC Banilad students about a country linked in history to the Philippines.
