The Human Resource Directors of the campuses of the University of Cebu had their first-ever HR Development Plan Conference at the President’s Conference Room in UC-Banilad.
Mr. Artemio Cabahug of UCB, Capt. Arnulfo Francisco Pablo of METC and Atty. Julius Pacqueo of UCLM met to discuss the drawing up of the Human Resource Management Practices guidelines that would help strengthen the capability of UC’s teaching and non-teaching staff.
The conference outlined a program that would implement appropriate seminars and workshops for faculty members in regards to values, responsibilities and accountabilities as molders of the youth. A seminar on sexual harassment was the first to be implemented and was held at the new AVR in the Banilad campus. The relevant seminar was handled by the Univesity’s Legal Counsel Atty. Paulino Yabao.
In the drawing board are more in-depth study of human resource practices like benchmarking and other matters needed to realize the vision, mission, goals and core values of the university.
