On May 9, 2007, ten instructors from various colleges received commendations during the Faculty Ranking presentation rites.
The ten teachers who were commended were:
Mrs. Rebecca Ancheta, Ms. Rose Alforque, Ms. Teresa Orayon, Ms. Grace Silab and Mr. Joseph Emerson Subong of the College of Commerce and Accountancy
Mr. Maximo Caballes of the College of Physical Education,
Ms. Elena Camilo of the College of Hotel and Restaurant Management,
Ms. Emily Jean Gonzales of the College of Liberal Arts,
Mr. Eduardo Espiritu of the College of Computer Science and,
Engr. William Tandingan of the College of Allied Engineering.
The Ranking is the process which determines a teacher’s initial faculty position and his subsequent advancement. The seven-member Committee on Ranking based the assessment on each teacher’s educational attainment and board exam, teaching experience, professional growth, community service and involvement, and efficiency rating. Vice-Chancellor for Academic Affairs Dr. Erlinda P. Barcelo is the Chair of this committee.
After the brief ceremony and awarding of certificates, Mr. Joseph Emerson Subong advanced as Junior Instructor A, Ms. Teresa Orayan emerged as Junior Instructor B, Mr. Eduardo Espiritu progressed as Senior Instructor C, Ms. Elena Camilo became Junior Instructor C, Mr. Maximo Caballes stepped up as Senior Instructor B from being Junior Instructor A, Ms. Rose Alforque emerged as Junior Instructor B while Mrs. Rebecca Ancheta advanced as Senior Instructor C. {(Tandingan, Silab, Gonzales retained their ranks)}
