UC Graduate School inked a Memorandum of Agreement with the College of Maasin (CM) in Southern Leyte on June 15, 2007. The signing formalized the extension class of the Master of Arts in Nursing to be conducted at the CM campus in Tunga-tunga, Maasin City.
The program was originally intended for the faculty of College of Maasin only, but the Clinical Instructors of other nearby nursing schools expressed the desire to avail themselves of the program as well.
There will be weekly classes identical with the typical graduate school programs. The Thesis Defense of the enrollees of the program, however, will be done at UC Main. The university will provide competent and qualified professors who will handle the major subjects.
College of Maasin instructors who would enroll will be afforded a 50-percent discount, while teachers from the neighboring institutions can avail themselves of a 15 percent slash from their tuition fees.
“Right now we already have ample students signing up for the program,” said Dr. Agapito Pino, Jr., Graduate School Dean (UC-Main) and Administrative Director of UC-Banilad. Classes started on June 30, 2007.
