Korean Volunteer to teach at UC
Jun Sang Park, one of the Korea Overseas Volunteers (KOV) volunteered to spend two (2) years of teaching at University of Cebu by assisting in strengthening the skills of students in Information Technology and the staff at the College of Information and Computer Science.

During his initial visit prior to the actual volunteer work at UC, Park stayed with a Filipino family, conducted a project orientation meeting with Computer Science Dean, Dr. Ma. Salud de los Santos and her faculty, then visited some of UC’s immersion program sites. He finds having to contend with the weather and more time to learn the Cebuano language.

Park’s volunteer program is an undertaking of the Korea International Cooperation Agency, Korea Overseas Volunteers, and the University of Cebu under Chancellor Candice Gotianuy and President Atty. Augusto W. Go, who is likewise the Honorary Consul General of South Korea – Cebu. The project has the assistance of the Philippine National Volunteer Service Coordinating Agency.
