On the Freeman’s Lifestyle section, UC-LM Grade 4 pupil Lawrence Harvey Ocio wrote a Father’s Day greeting by praising the singing talent of his father Rene.

The elder Ocio was the Grand Waterfront Idol in 2005, while Lawrence often performed during kiddie singing competitions. The father is the Food and Beverage supervisor of Waterfront Cebu and conducts trainings, seminars, and is also into sports. He even led his team to win second place in the over-all HRRAC Sportsfest, for two consecutive years, during which he also served as Sports Chair.
