On September 11, 2007 UC’s Community Extension Services and Development (CESDEV) gathered various student and employee volunteers from the university’s four campuses for the Orientation Seminar on Good Citizenship Movement.

Organized by CESDEV’s dynamic Sr. Sandra Clemente, RSCJ, the group gathered at UC Main’s DVD Room. Mr. Hermie Ceniza of the Good Citizenship Movement warmed the hearts and minds of the audience. An epigrammatic introduction featured excerpts of the life and heroism of former Senator Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino during the tumultuous Martial Law era.

Mr. Ceniza challenged the assembled to be good citizens not to “be part of the problem” and instead “be part of the solution” by living the good citizenship values enshrined in the constitution.

Towards the culmination, the participants received a poster with the Good Citizen creed from the Edsa People Power Commission and the Good Citizenship Movement.
