The October candidates for graduation of the College of Commerce and Accountancy once again gave a philanthropic assistance to the UC partner community of Sapangdaku, Guadalupe.

Around two hundred students chipped in Php100 each to raise a hefty Php21,000 to buy a Lining Machine and other sewing tools for the Kalipi Women’s Group of the Sapangdaku community. The donation was coursed through the Community Extension Services and Development (CESDEV) and was intended for the group’s livelihood project. The College of Commerce has been consistently extending a hand to the partner community for three semesters already.

October 2, 2007 turn-over was attended by the College of Commerce Dean Claro Ventic, Mrs. Fe Imbong, Sapangdaku’s Barangay Captain Gilbuena and Kalipi’s President Ms. Helen Bareta. Sr. Sandra Clemente, RSCJ and Student and International Affairs Director Ms. Rebecca Ancheta, along with some of the donating students.

Another turn-over ceremony, this time before the Sapangdaku residents, was done on October 7, 2007.
