Maritime welding is a necessary technical skill the crew on board should possess. In the daily routines of repair and maintenance work on board, the crew will face a number of tasks that require the mastery of a maritime welding process. Without formal training in maritime welding, the crewmember may find it difficult to deal with the problem.
